Christmas 2024

We would love to see you at one of our Christmas events or services this year!

CAROLS ON THE GREEN – SATURDAY 14TH DECEMBER at 6.00pm

Everyone is invited to this event for the community, organised and sponsored by Blandford Evangelical Church and Blandford Parish Church. (See Poster)

This year we will have our own band and invite you to join in with singing some traditional carols and celebrate the events of that first Christmas. Children can come in nativity costumes and become immersed in the story.

The event will be rounded off with hot dogs, but also Mulled wine and mince pies for adults and hot chocolate for the children, plus some sweets!

Carols on the Green is held on the large grassy area in the middle of the Blandford Heights Persimmon Estate near Lidl (see map). Don’t be too surprised if things are a bit different this year!

Make sure you wrap up warm!

FAMILY CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE – SUNDAY 15TH DECEMBER at 4.00PM

Join us this year for a Family Christmas Carol Service!

Enjoy a multimedia experience singing some familiar Christmas carols, dramatized readings, a choir, video, poetry, interactive family participation and including an activity area where families can relax with younger children.

Afterwards, there will be hot drinks and sweet treats available in the Coffee Lounge. We look forward to seeing you!

REFLECTIONS ON ADVENT – SUNDAY 22nd DECEMBER at 6.30PM

Amongst all the noise and bustle of Christmas preparations, a chance to draw aside, relax and reflect on the meaning of Advent. Through music, poetry and gentle contemplation, we explore waiting and longing for the coming Messiah.

CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATION! – WEDNESDAY 25TH DECEMBER, 10:00-10.45am

Take a short but welcome break from the busyness of your Christmas festivities to join others in the joy of celebrating what is at the heart of Christmas, the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

As always there’ll be an opportunity for the children to show off their presents and probably share some bad Christmas cracker jokes too!
