To be a Church that is

WELCOMING - of all new people and existing attenders. To be accepting and non-judgemental of all with whom we have contact.

WORSHIPPING - expressing our passion and love for God in personal and    corporate acts of vibrant worship and lifestyle.

WITNESSING - looking for opportunities to share our experience of Jesus and with integrity demonstrate his love through our actions, so that others may also come to know him.

We recognize that we can only achieve this by God’s grace.

To help us remember and maintain focus to our purposes, we have built our values around the acronym of G.R.A.C.E.

Growth

We are committed to nurturing every believer throughout their life-long discipleship of growing in faith and understanding, encouraged by personal Bible reading and prayer, together with accountability and an attitude of openness. Our desire is to see the fruit, gifts and empowering of the Holy Spirit developing in each believer.

Response

We aspire to respond to the love of God in authentic expressions of worship and service. Our music is a blend of traditional and contemporary. We have an expectation of meeting with God in our corporate times of teaching and worship and are hungry for the out-pouring and empowering of the Holy Spirit. We teach and practise the use of our abilities, gifts and financial resources as willing expressions of our devotion to Jesus.

Action

Every believing follower of Jesus has gifts and abilities, given for the common good and for the extension of the kingdom of God. We encourage everyone to discover a way of applying their faith by finding an opportunity to serve in some way, most commonly in the areas of each individual’s passion and gifting.

Community

The building blocks of the life of the fellowship are our Connect Smallgroups. Here fellowship, teaching, nurture, accountability and pastoral support are being developed. It is within these groups that love for the Lord and love for one another is deepened and our heart for others can be expanded through prayer and servant-hearted ministry.

Evangelism

We endeavour to adopt whatever methodologies are relevant and effective in building bridges within our community, over which non-believing people can journey towards a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. We believe that making the Gospel accessible is our key role but that the work of conviction and salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit. Our style of evangelism is invitational, whilst at appropriate times speaking out the clear challenge of the Cross of Christ.

We have a commitment to global mission and support a number of missionaries sent from the church, as well as mission organisations and specific Christian aid agencies.
